2-ply fingering weight
Unlike conventional superwashing processes where scales are burned off of the wool fiber with acid, this wool has been treated with a GOTS certified organic compound to create washability. This compound holds the wool fibers in place during washing and drying, preventing them from interlocking during agitation which is what causes shrinkage and felting.
You can machine wash this yarn on cold and lay flat to dry. Be sure to alternate skeins while knitting as you would with any other hand-dyed yarn.
I’m currently knitting a project with a skein in Flour Sack and let me tell you! This yarn is soft and fluffy and has so much loft. It’s AMAZING!
